CONTACT IMPROVISATION JAM

Contact Improvisation cancelled until further notice

Shel Wagner Rasch and Jill Cooper take turns guiding a warm-up lab or skill-based class to get you moving, followed by open space for playful exploration of the form.

Contact Improvisation is a playful dance form in which points of physical contact provide the starting point for movement and exploration. Jams usually takes place without music so that dancers can define their own pace. People dance contact in any combination of genders, there are no "steps," and it's entirely improvised.

Contact improvisation is one of the most welcoming and friendly dance forms that you can do. It's for people of all body types, ages, backgrounds, and physical abilities. No experience necessary.  Come and play, we love to see new people falling in love with contact improvisation.
