The workshop is open to dancers, vocalists/musicians, actors, and all interdisciplinary performers who want to increase their range of expression and delve into an holistic approach to performance and creativity.
A physical and vocal warm-up begin the session. Working on a song to be sung together in "rounds" creates a great sense of community and unified purpose from which we can move into interdisciplinary explorations together and individually. Experiments in physical, vocal, and character transformation as soloists and as a group allow us to both explore deeply and "play" together.
Janis Brenner, award-winning dancer/choreographer/singer/actor/teacher, is Artistic Director of Janis Brenner & Dancers in New York. She has toured in 33 countries and is recognized as a "singular performer" with a mulltifaceted artistic range.
